I was sitting outside looking at this beautiful Hibiscus my daughter had potted and placed on the back porch and was struck how the blooms look straight up. I was reminded at that point the importance of looking up. To lift up our eyes away from the stress, the problems, the burdens, and just breathe and remember who we are, children of the King. Times are difficult right now, for everyone. No one has a ‘norm’ and we are all trying to figure out what that means. But we have a constant in our lives, Jesus.
Psalm 121 says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth.”
I am so thankful for that promise. The Lord is with us and He is our Helper. This psalm also assures us that He watches over us, our comings and our goings, all the days of our life. So even though life is crazy right now, we can know that we are not alone, the Lord is with us!
