The manor was built in 1613 but the story of the Manoir Du Poul dates back to 1013. The people of Mellionnec still recount stories and legends of the Poul and the lords who owned it. At least four servant families lived and worked the land for the lords and there are still people alive today who were born in the manor. The manor is surrounded by 30 acres of woods and park area. A small stream flows through the property that originates at a druid fountain area. There is a small chapel built by the fountain. This was a common practice of Catholics when they moved into the Brittany region. There are three hiking trails available for guests and a picnic table with eight chairs in the front yard.
