Welcome to Hickory Road Inn! We invite you to come visit us for a relaxing night or weekend away from it all in our modern farmhouse-style brick home. We especially welcome crafters for quilting, scrapbooking and stamping retreats.Our primary appeal is to those who appreciate the seclusion of the woods as well as the peace and serenity of country life. There is some hiking and a small pond stocked with fish. Our barn gives a touch of farm ambiance. We also have a small Shih Tzu dog at the inn who loves guests.Our home has several lounge areas for conversation or TV (VCR or DVD). There are areas for card and table games.Each morning we serve a full breakfast of assorted juices, fruit, egg entrée, meat side dish, hot beverages, and warm bread. Our breakfasts offer guests surprising new recipes.

Grandma's Room - this rose-colored room is a nostalgic tribute to all grandmothers (and grandfathers) with a view of the pond and woods; king or two twin beds, two relaxing chairs, and a private bath with tub/shower. This room at the top of the stairs is easily accessible to the living room on the first floor where you can enjoy large-screen viewing of your favorite shows or DVDs.The Aviary Room - it wouldn't be fitting without a tribute to our forest bird friends! Our dark green and cream hues offer warmth as you gaze beyond the deck to the pond and forest. This room has a king or two twin beds, two cozy chairs, and a private bath with shower/tub. You can enjoy a movie or other television viewing in the adjacent sitting room which has another spectatular view of our woods.The Flower Garden Room - is a room that offers two twin beds or a California king. With lavender and green decor, the inviting oval window gives a view of our forest front yard. A reading corner with a gliding rocker invites you to curl up with one of the many magazines we have to offer. The private bath has a shower/tub combo. This large room has a writing desk and access to the sitting room across the hall.

We are located just off State Route 229, seven miles south of Metamora, Indiana, a restored 1830's Canal Town, and four miles north of Oldenburg, a quaint German-style village.
