Black Rock Retreat is located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania approximately one and a half hours west of Philadelphia and one and a half hours north of Baltimore. We are a non-profit Christian facility primarily providing retreat facilities for use by Christian churches and organizations. We also offer a summer camp for youth, a ropes course, an outdoor education program for Christian schools and Road Scholar programs for adults. Black Rock Retreat is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthening His church. We provide quality facilities and a serving staff within a refuge of God’s creation which encourages spiritual growth and restoration. Black Rock Retreat is located on PA State Route 472, approx. 4.5 miles south of the town of Quarryville, PA and approx. 8.5 miles north of the town of Oxford, PA. We have a private entrance off of Route 472 that is marked with a fairly large sign, which is lighted in the evening.From Philadelphia via I-95 and US Route 1: Exit I-95 South after Chester, PA at Route 322 West. Travel north for approximately 7.5 miles until you reach the intersection of US Route 1. Travel south on US Route 1 for approximately 26 miles until you reach the exit for Route 472 (Quarryville/Oxford exit). Turn right onto Route 472 and travel north approximately 8.5 miles. Black Rock Retreat is located on the right side of the road approximately 2 miles after the small town of Kirkwood, PA.From Philadelphia via the PA Turnpike West: Exit the turnpike at exit #326 (Valley Forge/King of Prussia). Almost immediately get on Route 202 south. Travel on this road until you reach US Route I south. Travel approximately 26 miles on Route 1 south until you reach the exit for Route 472 (Quarryville/Oxford exit). Turn right onto Route 472 and travel north approximately 8.5 miles. Black Rock Retreat is located on the right side of the road approximately 2 miles after the small town of Kirkwood, PA.From Harrisburg via the PA Turnpike East: Exit the turnpike at exit #19 (Harrisburg). From the tollbooth take right hand ramp. Take Route 283 east to Lancaster, PA. Exit Route 283 at Route 72 (Manheim Pike). Travel on Route 72 south until it merges with Route 222 south (Prince Street). Travel on Route 222 through the town of Lancaster and continue on Route 222.
