Missionaries and Ministry Workers Need Rest.
Around 80% of Christian missionaries burn out and quit before finishing what they felt called to do. Almost 50% of ministry workers suffer, or have suffered, from depression and end up dropping out of Christian service all together. Our mission is to fight this burnout and fatigue by providing free Get Aways for missionaries across the world and by growing the largest network of Christian owned lodging, so that all ministry workers can find a place to rest, at a price within their means. Our hope is to provide restoration for these individuals; physically, mentally and spiritually, so that they can continue serving and doing God’s good work.
Our Story
Hello from the Christian Hospitality Network
Christian Hospitality Network began by offering missionaries a place to rest at a humble bed and breakfast. As that ministry grew, so did a simple question: What if we could bring this same experience of hospitality and renewal directly to missionaries on the mission field? That vision became the CHN GetAway retreats, which are now the heart of our ministry.
Today, our original hospitality network continues through our partner organization, ServantCARE, while CHN focuses on hosting GetAway retreats around the world. These retreats provide missionaries and their families with a time of rest, encouragement, and renewal through the generosity of volunteers—including doctors, counselors, hair stylists, massage therapists, and many others—who are passionate about serving those who serve. Every detail is designed to help missionaries return to the mission field refreshed, encouraged, and ready to continue the work God has called them to do.
What We Do
Discover CHN GetAways
2025
Lusaka, Zambia
In June 2025, 27 CHN team members hosted 158 missionaries in Lusaka, Zambia, at the beautiful Radisson Blu Hotel Lusaka. These missionaries represented 39 sending agencies and served in 9 countries.
2023
Hoi An, Vietnam
In June 2023, 26 CHN team members hosted 145 missionaries in Hoi An, Vietnam, at the beautiful Hotel Royal Hoi An – MGallery. These missionaries represented 45 sending agencies and served in 11 countries.
2017
Guayaquil, Ecuador
In 2017, 30 CHN team members hosted 146 missionaries from 39 different countries in Guayaquil, Ecuador, at the beautiful Wyndham hotel.
2008
Melieha Bay, Malta
In 2008, the beautiful town of Melieha Bay welcomed 183 missionaries, from 47 different countries. We had a team of 41 CHN volunteers travel to Malta, to serve our missionary guests.
2002
Chiang Mai, Thailand
In 2002, CHN hosted the first ever GetAway in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Since then we’ve been back twice, in 2014 and 2017, hosting over 600 missionaries from almost 80 different countries.
2012
Split, Croatia
In 2012, 29 CHN team members welcomed 243 missionaries to the Radisson Blue Resort. These missionaries travelled from over 60 different countries to be with us for a time of restoration and healing.
